Language carries stories, relationships, humor, history, identity, knowledge, and ways of understanding the world. Technology can help pass it on.

Technology in service of language
Continua partners with Indigenous communities to create digital tools that help language and cultural knowledge continue moving from one generation to the next.

Our role is to listen, understand what the community wants to accomplish, and build technology that helps make that vision possible.
See the language, hear fluent speakers, and interact directly with words and passages.
Accessible resources for vocabulary, practice, and everyday use—wherever learners are.
Words, definitions, audio, images, examples, and cultural context in one searchable resource.
Community-controlled systems for audio, video, photographs, documents, stories, and knowledge.
Interactive maps connecting language, geography, history, audio, and community knowledge.
When the right tool does not exist, we can build it alongside the community it will serve.
Walking alongside communities
Communities hold the language. Elders and fluent speakers hold knowledge technology cannot create. Educators understand their learners. Families understand how language lives in their homes.
Our job is to provide the technical expertise to help those voices travel farther.
Not technology replacing people.
Technology helping people connect.
